Hi, there.  I’m Carol and this is the official blog for This Borrowed Moment photography.

You know how they say that every photo is worth a thousand words. That might well be true in this, because I do sometimes have a proclivity to be a bit of a rambling mess. I am trying these days to be a little more succinct though.  Let me know how I do with that.  I feel as though I am failing already!

Back on track at word #78 (a personal best!).  So, what will you expect to find here once we really get rolling.  Well, it is going to be a resting spot for photos. Some will be available on-line in the This Borrowed Moment etsy shop.  Others will be placed here because I feel more like leaning toward that one thousand words thing on that particular day, and the photos are what promoted that ramble.

As for as This Borrowed Moment photography is all about, let me tell you a bit about me and how I got here.

For years I have wandered around with camera in tow, snapping random objects and moments and hoarding them quietly away on my hard drive, never really sharing them with the world at large. Then, in early 2015, the company I was working with closed up shop and I was suddenly facing a world of indecision about which direction to turn in my career. At the same time, I started filling more and more of my days with thought-filled, aimless wandering, camera in tow. And, suddenly, it seemed like I had my answer.

It took quite a bit of nerve to decide to open up my work for the world to see. I hope you enjoy the bits that I have chosen to share to this point, and I hope that you will continue to follow along as I work toward building a larger portfolio.

Here is a preview of some of the pieces that I am now sharing.  If you wish to get more detailed views and read some of the stories behind these borrowed moments, click the collage to be taken to the This Borrowed Moment etsy shop.
